Tournaments instead of boring gyms?

the gym system is just...cold and boring x.x why not just do a tournament of 8? best ones get the badge..? i think there has tobe more life into it right now most of it is just fighting NPCs, Gym fightning just by yourself... maybe the NPC battle shouldnt even be here o.o just player vs player...? i think that self RP'ing based on luck of random numbers should be avoided as much as possible ands only used to see the chance of dodge, resist and one hit KOs... anyone agrees?
